Second Mondays is a multi-disciplinary open mic for Black people to share and enjoy incredible art. The stage welcomes comedy, poetry, singing, rapping, instrumentalists, and more!
It's what we at Gold Beams have been doing for three years.

We're partnering with the Black Joy Parade again and you know what that means... PRIZES πππΏπ€!!!
Four artists will win money π°.
One of those winners will win a slot on the Black Joy Parade stage. They'll perform in front of THOUSANDS.
-ο»Ώ 1st Place: $1,500
-ο»Ώ 2nd Place: $700
-ο»Ώ 3rd Place: $500
-ο»Ώ Freestyle Cypher: $500

-Guests must present an RSVP at the door.
- Guests will enter on a first come first serve basis until we reach capacity.
- Get there EARLY to make the list.

The Second Mondays open mic is open to Black creatives. That includes comedians, musicians, poets, actors performing monologues, dance, etc.
Event doors and open mic list open at 6 pm. Artists, when we tell you to get there EARLY to get on the list.. we mean it.
Besides our two recent slot winners, if you have placed at a Second Mondays event in the past, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO perform.
Wο»Ώe will alternate between sign up and (free) raffle ticket holders when calling artists to perform.
Oο»Ώur stage is home to Black creatives.
Artists have 5 minutes to perform on stage.
Artist must only perform one piece.
If you have instrumentals, be ready to airdrop your instrumentals to our DJ.
Be prepared to perform acapella if there are issues sending your instrumentals.
Your art must be respectful to the people in the space. To our community.

Gold Beams is a production company. We produce events for Black creatives and our Black community at large. Weβre also contracted to produce and project manage productions for others.
Our mission is to support Black creatives making careers from their art and to produce events that bring Black people joy.
The Black Joy Parade exists to provide the Black community and allies a live experience that celebrates our influence on cultures past, present and future. They will unite a diverse community by creating a space to express each of our unique contributions to the Black experience. The Black Joy Parade invite you to be creative, be open, be present, be free.
Oakhella is a full-service Entertainment company that specializes in high-quality event production, marketing, and content curation. We empower the people we serve through experiences centering music, art, and food. Officially launched in April of 2016 as a micro-music festival, Oakhella has grown into an Entertainment Company made up of young professionals who recognize the need to create spaces that encompass the broader culture of The Town.
