A Wondrous Performance by An Artist, A Scientist and A Magician:
Come discover the wonder at this curious cabaret where you’ll get to see just how similar art, science and magic really are. Afterward, you’ll get a chance to connect and mingle with the presenters and this imaginative community.
Very Important Note:
The Gold Beams Social Club is a part of the Exploratoriums After Dark series where adults 21+ can enjoy drinks, live DJ's and hundreds of interactive art and science activations.
The After Dark series is a ticketed event ($19.95) that starts at 6 pm and ends at 10 pm. The Gold Beams Social Club at the Exploratorium is an event that happens during the After Dark series between 8 and 9:30 pm.
It's open to those who have purchased tickets to the September 30th After Dark as an additional theatric event. After Dark guests will make their way to the Forum theater to enjoy the cabaret at 8 pm.
The Forum Theater has a capacity of 200. Once doors open, guests who have RSVP are welcomed to enter on a first come first serve basis.
We're giving away a limited number of FREE After Dark tickets using the 'Add On' Eventbrite feature. Those who acquire a free ticket will have their name on the After Dark guest list.
The Gold Beams Social Club at the Exploratorium
The Gold Beams Social Club is a part of the Exploratorium's After Dark event series. After Dark includes hundreds of interactive exhibitions and installations that merge together art and science! You can enjoy cocktails from the Seaglass Restaurant, dance to a live DJ, and enjoy large-scale activations of science between 6 and 10 pm.
During the After Dark event on Thursday, September 30th, guests will head to the Kanbar Forum at 8 pm to enjoy a free cabaret-style presentation of one theme translated and performed by an artist, a scientist, and a magician. You'll then be able to get into the minds of the three creatives through a Q and A.

We're giving away 25 free tickets to the After Dark series, which houses the Gold Beams Social Club at the Exploratorium! After Dark doors open at 6 pm for guests to enjoy the exhibitions and installations. Around 7:30 pm guests will make their way to the Kanbar Forum located on the After Dark event floor. Doors will open at 8 pm and seating will be available to those who RSVP'd on a first come first serve basis.

The Gold Beams Social Club is a stage that shines on Black creatives performing their art, science and magic through the lens of their wildest dreams.
Adults Only (18+)
All After Dark guests are required to wear a mask that covers the mouth and nose and fits snugly against the sides of your face. Scarves, neck gaiters, bandanas, and masks with valves do not meet this requirement.
The Exploratorium is currently requiring all visitors who are not members to reserve timed tickets in order to manage capacity and create a safe and spacious environment.
Proof of Vaccination Required for entry for all After Dark visitors.
Please be prepared to show proof of full vaccination and a valid photo ID at the entry gate when you visit.
Valid forms of proof of vaccination include:
An original, a copy, or a picture of your CDC vaccination card
Documentation from a healthcare provider
Personal digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by the State of California or by an approved private company
Proof of vaccination will be cross-checked against each visitor’s photo ID. A written self-attestation or verbal declaration of vaccination status is not acceptable as a form of proof. Access your State of California vaccine record: myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov
Additional Information:
There will be a photographer and videographer recording the event. An RSVP gives the green-light for Gold Beams and the Exploratorium to use said content and to add RSVP's to our emailing lists.
